The Cape Western Provincial Dugout regrets to announce the passing to Higher Command of 19549 Moth Paul Daykin from the Red Barn/TotS Shellhole on Friday evening 07 February 2025 after a long illness.

Paul was an original member Royal Naval Comms unit HMS Ganges, served on numerous ships in the RN then relocated to South Africa when the SA Navy was established.

He served in several SA Navy ships, and communication posts. He later became Master At Arms of SAS CHAPMAN and retired as the Base Master At Arm Naval Base Simonstown. Condolences to shipmates and friends.
