The Cape Western Provincial Dugout regrets to announce the passing to Higher Command of 25227 Moth Nick de Beer from the Bomb Alley Shellhole on Sunday morning 08 December 2024.

Nick was an active member of Bomb Alley Shellhole, a master carpenter who spent a career in the SA Air Force becoming a specialist in the maintenance and repair of the  Westland Wasp.

He joined in 1963 and spent much of his SAAF career based at AFB Ysterplaat, from where he was deployed elsewhere also to the SWA operational area as well as at sea.

You will be missed dearly.
