The Cape Western Provincial Dugout regrets to announce the passing to Higher Command of 201405-196202-0036-19354 Moth Jacobus (Koos) Petrus Roux from the Tommy Rendle, VC Shellhole this afternoon, Wednesday 12 October 2022 at 12H30.

Koos joined the Order on 01 May 2014 at the Bomb Alley Shellhole and before long he was appointed Sergeant Major of Bomb Alley..  Koos’ passion was the MMA and he joined the Cape Town Charter and subsequently transferred to Blaauwberg Cuca who were the headquarters for the MMA.  In 2021 MMA moved their headquarters to Tommy Rendle, VC and Koos, being a loyal soldier, followed suit and transferred to Tommy Rendle,VC.

Koos was once again appointed as Sergeant Major of Tommy Rendle,VC in August 2022, duties he performed with diligence and pride.   On the 15th of August 2020 Koos was awarded the Moth Comradeship Certificate.

He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.  Our sincere condolences are extended to Alta, his brother Chris and the entire family.

Funeral arrangements will follow once made known.
