The Cape Western Provincial Dugout regrets to announce the passing to Higher Command of Moth George Talbolt Ubsdell from the Dawn patrol Shellhole on Wednesday 28 June 2023.

Moth George joined the Order in November 1997 as a member of the Outspan Shellhole in Port Elizabeth.  He also spent the same time at the Last Post Shellhole in Gauteng.

In September 1998 he joined the Battledress Shellhole in Fish Hoek.  In April 2010 he transferred to the Dawn Patrol Shellhole in Bergvliet and had dual membership of Battledress Shellhole.  Under the new clauses of the MOTH General Standing Orders he transferred fully to Dawn Patrol in 2014.  He was granted Life Membership and was also a Certificate of Comradeship.

Moth George served in the South African 5 Field Artillery.

A Memorial Service (Moth Service) will be held at the MOTHWA Haven, 14 Tobruk Road, Plumbstead, on Friday 07 July 2023 at 14H00.
