Garden Route Toy Run 23 November 2025
This year’s Toy Run® was a joint venture between the Garden Route Moths and the Garden Route Chapter of the MOTH Motorcycle Association, hosted in George, on the 23 November 2025.
For those who aren’t familiar with the Toy Run®.
The Toy Run® is a fully registered national, Non-Profit charity event, controlled by the Toy Run® Trust, which has its own registered trade mark logo.
Bidders are licensed to host the event and under strict terms and conditions allowed to use the Toy Run® logo.
Traditionally in SA, the Toy Run® is hosted on the last Sunday of November, in most cities and towns. The charity drive has since evolved into a community project, where motorcyclists and the community both donate to the cause.
Everything about this event is free, there are no cover charges, workers assist on a voluntary basis and no organizer or helper is compensated for their work, time or effort.
The convoy of the Garden Route’s Toy Run® mass ride, was an awe-inspiring spectacle, of motorcycles, led by the fire brigade, traffic department and emergency vehicles; all with sirens blaring, and a trail of vehicles, which had joined in on the euphoric celebration.
As we near the festive season we hope that our communities’ donations, can assist us in fulfilling our commitment to the underprivileged children of our area.
By virtue of all the photos, videos, radio shows and social media we are showcasing MOTH sincerity to the general public, thereby enhancing the Ideals of the Order.
Our slogan reads:
Your small act of kindness towards an underprivileged child, won’t change the world, but it might change the world for that child.
Logistically, our helpers and elves are still sorting and preparing, a ceiling high, room full of toys, before the final count can be recorded and donor recipient lists compiled for distribution.
The nationwide 2025 figures, are not in yet, so we are sharing some of the 2024 statistics.
Nationally ±75 000 motorcyclists participated.
Cape Town collected ±15 500 toys and educational necessities.
A special thank you goes out to Outeniqua Shellhole, MESCA, MMA GR Chapter and the George Service Clubs for paving the way to a very successful 2025 Garden Route Toy Run®.
In closing, via all forms of media; we have received accolades from George tourism and Toy Run® participants, for a well-organized Toy Run®.
